The Unspoken Truth Podcast is a flagship narrative-change initiative by the Youth Alliance for Equality Foundation (YAEF) that amplifies the authentic voices and lived realities of queer young people in Ghana. Rooted in the belief that storytelling is a powerful tool for social transformation, the podcast provides a safe, inclusive, and affirming platform where queer individuals can share their experiences, unpack stereotypes, tell their own stories and challenge the narratives that fuel stigma, discrimination, and the growing anti-rights agenda in Ghana and beyond.

Through thought-provoking conversations, expert insights, and personal testimonies, The Unspoken Truth sheds light on the intersections of identity, mental health, human rights, and equality. Each episode fosters empathy, awareness, and acceptance, inspiring listeners to see queer realities beyond headlines and prejudice.

At its heart, the podcast is about reclaiming narratives—transforming silence into stories, stigma into strength, and resistance into collective power. It bridges communities, creating understanding and solidarity across diverse audiences while promoting a culture of respect and inclusion.

Since its launch in 2024, The Unspoken Truth has released over 10 educational and impactful episodes, reaching thousands of listeners across Ghana and internationally through major streaming platforms. Beyond listenership, the podcast has become a space for dialogue, learning, and empowerment, equipping young queer persons with the confidence to tell their own stories and engage in advocacy that drives meaningful change.
